2D·SIPC at the EQTC 2021

The second European Quantum Technologies Virtual Conference (EQTC) was held online between 29th November and 2nd December 2021. This international event, which is coordinated by the European Quantum Flagship Initiative, was hosted this year by the Irish Centre for High-End Computing and the National University of Ireland.

Dr. Alberto Montanaro, from the Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni (CNIT) and 2D·SIPC project partner, presented the poster entitled “Layered materials and silicon nitride photonic integrated platform for quantum information“. The poster, which showcased the development of a novel quantum photonic technological platform based on silicon nitride and integrated with layered materials, was presented in the parallel session named “Quantum Communication, Metrology, Sensing and Education” which was held on 1st December.

The EQTC is aimed to highlight some of the most prominent and recent advances in European and international recent advances across the fields of basic sciences, communication, computing, simulation and sensing and metrology. More than 600 experts in the field of quantum technologies attended online the 2021 edition of the EQTC. The conference programme consisted of more than 15 Plenary and Keynote presentations, 27 Parallel Sessions with over 100 scientific talks, 11 workshops organized by different institutions and companies and over 150 posters .
